Polytan has been laying sports surfaces all over the world for more than 40 years. Over this period the Polytan brand has become synonymous with quality, and innovation, especially when it comes to synthetic sports surfaces.

The product range – including both polyurethane systems and synthetic turf – is tailored to the specific requirements of each type of sport, and optimised for care and maintenance. Polytan sports surfaces combine high standards in material quality, product technology and sports physiology.

Since 1989, Polytan sports surfaces have been subject to annual national quality assurance inspections, as well as to all existing standards in the various European countries. Polytan surfaces also boast certificates confirming compliance with the standards of major international sports governing bodies, and have repeatedly demonstrated their continued suitability in numerous field tests following installation.

One of the features that marks Polytan out is that all its products are manufactured in its own factories. Polyurethane raw materials and artificial grass fibres are developed and formulated in Polytan’s laboratories. That’s why quality control, from the raw material components to the ready-to-install sports surface, is a matter of course for Polytan. Installation, which is just as critical to the quality of a sports surface, is also carried out by Polytan – the company’s own experienced and highly specialised installation teams lay the surfaces on site using specialist equipment.

The plant and machinery used by Polytan is continually modified to the latest standards or rebuilt in the company’s own workshops. Polytan has acquired a great depth of knowledge when it comes to installation technology, and an outstanding reputation for the quality of its products. Polytan sports surfaces have continually demonstrated their excellent durability and efficiency under the toughest of conditions in all regions of the world.
