KSS is one the leading sports architecture practices, at the forefront of innovative design, research and technology in stadium design and other sports and training buildings.
KSS works with sports clubs, specialist designers, financial institutions and municipalities throughout the world on major developments, major sporting events, and one-off major buildings. It is also working with several sports clubs looking at how it can help them to integrate their identity, values and personality throughout the physical environment.
Over the last 18 years KSS has been actively working on the design of a wide range of stadia, sports centres, swimming pools, training centres, spas and leisure projects. Some of its current stadia projects include the new 56,250-capacity stadium for Tottenham Hotspur FC, a new 22,500-capacity stadium for Brighton and Hove Albion FC, and a new 25,000-capacity stadium for French League 2 Club Le Havre AC. KSS is also working closely with several UK Premier League teams on developing the overall brief and detailed designs for new training centres and academies – one current example being Tottenham Hotspur FC’s new facility.
KSS has carried out extensive research into the design of fitness, sporting, medical, treatment, rehab, hydrotherapy and other areas associated with these projects. The company has worked and met with many specialists from the various training and treatment disciplines to explore the very best design solutions and how good design can assist in the motivation of aspiring and established athletes, and assist the speedy recovery from injury.
KSS’s work on the London 2012 Olympic Games includes the design of the 12,000-capacity temporary basketball arena with Wilkinson Eyre & SKM. This will be one of the largest temporary venues for the Games. The company is also working with the LDA as stadium legacy advisors for the London Olympic Stadium.
