Wembley expecting record numbers in 2025

Wembley Stadium is expecting a record‑breaking number of guests through its doors in 2025 as it prepares for another year of memorable events.

More than two million concert goers are expected to visit the venue this summer for headline shows from Coldplay, Oasis, Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Guns n Roses and Linkin Park. Capital’s Summertime Ball is also confirmed to take place at Wembley this summer with further multi night acts still due to be announced.

It will be the first time in the stadium’s history that it welcomes more than two million guests during its summer concert window.

Coldplay will perform ten sold out shows at Wembley in August and September. The concert run will set a record for the number of shows performed at the venue by one artist during a single tour. Last year Taylor Swift performed eight times, equalling the record previously held by Take That.

Oasis will also perform seven nights at the stadium following the announcement of their comeback last year. All seven shows sold out in record time following an unprecedented demand for tickets from fans. It will be the first time Oasis perform together since 2009.

Mark Lynch, Stadium Director, said: “Last year was a special one for Wembley with just over 2.9 million people attending all our events. 2025 promises to be even bigger and one of the busiest seasons ever in Wembley’s long and illustrious history.

Last year Wembley Stadium hosted 40 major events, attended by 2.9 million people. This included the Taylor Swift shows, a UEFA Champions League Final, Capital’s Summertime Ball and performances from Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC and Green Day.

The stadium also hosted Rugby League, Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL) and Boxing (Joshua v Dubois) alongside a host of domestic football finals and England internationals.

A report by the Greater London Authority (GLA) said the Taylor Swift shows alone boosted the city’s economy by around £300 million alone.
