The Letzigrund Stadium in Switzerland, which is home to Swiss Super League soccer clubs FC Zurich and Grasshopper Club Zurich, has upgraded its technology offering by installing two new LED HD video screens.
Located at each end of the field and measuring 19 x 34ft (5.8 x 10.6m) the new large displays will feature a 13HD pixel layout, for improved image clarity, brightness and contrast. This is the first time the stadium has upgraded its video technology in over a decade.
“After more than 10 years of use of the very reliable stadium displays, it was time for renewal and upgrade to the latest LED technology to improve the quality of the displays,” said Andreas Bachmann, process manager of facility management at Letzigrund Stadium. “We are very proud about the result. The new displays will offer a real added value for our event partners and visitors. We thank Daktronics for a smooth realization of the project and are looking forward to further cooperation in service.”
The new displays are capable of featuring variable content zoning where it can show one large feed or several sections with a combination of live action, stats, replays, sponsor messages and animations.
Daktronics also included its Show Control System with this installation. The system provides a combination of display control software, broadcast quality video processing, data integration and playback hardware.
