Giant mixed-reality panther unleashed at Bank of America Stadium

At the Carolina Panthers’ opening game of the NFL season there was a giant-sized Panther on the lose at Bank of America Stadium.

Thankfully, not a real one, but one created using mixed reality technology. The digital animal, which could be seen by fans on its video displays, created by The Famous Group roamed across seating areas, scaled the scoreboards, and leaped off the goalposts, wowing the 70,000 fans in attendance.

The Baltimore Ravens unleashed a similar stunt last season when a giant virtual raven swooped among the crowds.
