Latest global sports network CCO will focus on Asia

Dentsu Sports International (DSI), a global sports network comprised of MKTG Sports + Entertainment, and Dentsu Sports, has announced the hiring of Echo Li as its Chief Commercial Officer, a new position.

Based in Singapore, Li will sit on the global executive team with a focus on the APAC region, and will report directly to DSI global president and MKTG CEO Matt Manning.

Li’s remit is to lead and represent sports and entertainment properties from around the world and leverage and grow teams in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

“I’m excited to welcome Echo to DSI as a key member of our global leadership team,” said Manning.

“APAC continues to be a huge growth area for our business, and I am confident that under Echo’s leadership, our property sales and brand consulting offering in the region will be nothing but first-class,” added Manning.

Li will also be tasked with growing the agency’s brand consulting capability across APAC, working closely with MKTG APAC Managing Director, Matt Connell.

Dentsu says the focus will be on on growing service offerings, including brand and rights holder consulting, hospitality and events, measurement and analytics and content / creative / communications across all key markets in Asia.

“Dentsu Sports is a global powerhouse in our business, and I’m thrilled to be able to play a key role in further developing their global sales offering,” said Li.
