David Beckham considers school plans for stadium bid

Soccer player David Beckham is considering plans to build a sports high school at a new stadium in Miami, Florida, reports Reuters.

The plan forms part of the retired player’s plans to introduce an MLS franchise to Miami, as the team – Miami Beckham United – would be able to use the grounds. The school would be part of the proposed stadium development on a 10.5-acre site in Little Havana.

Beckham and his investors have been campaigning to bring the MLS to Miami for several years, but have struggled to secure a site for a team’s stadium.
