Plans to expand Real Madrid’s Bernabeu stadium have been rejected by the city’s council, reports The Mirror newspaper. The La Liga soccer club had planned to add a shopping center and a hotel to the iconic stadium, but city officials claimed the developments would be detrimental to the citizens of Madrid.
