The Melbourne Cricket Club has appointed arete Australia, a fit-out division of Kane Constructions, the contract to carry out the A$12m redevelopment of the National Sports Museum located inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The upgrade to the National Sports Museum (NSM) is scheduled to be completed by late February 2020. The NSM’s last day of operation will be Friday, August 16 before it closes for renovation works.

When complete the new-look National Sports Museum will be a vibrant and unique sporting experience for all visitors, embracing the latest technology to create an interactive environment said the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC).
