Vancouver Whitecaps FC has announced that the soccer club’s regular season capacity at BC Place will be expanded to 22,120. The club also announced that three matches in 2016 will be opened up to 25,000 capacity – the April 2 match against LA Galaxy, the October 2 game against Seattle Sounders FC, and the regular season finale against Portland Timbers on October 23.
Last season, Whitecaps FC set new club records for average attendance at 20,915 and sell-outs with 12, including 27,837 fans at the club’s first MLS Cup playoff match at BC Place.
