Opening late 2023 at The O2, The Residence will offer panoramic views of the stage and a retractable viewing platform. This 300-person capacity residence marks a £7 million investment, which the 02 says l bolster the venue’s naming rights opportunities and premium offerings.

Set over 1,150m2, The Residence will be located on level three, directly opposite the arena stage. The retractable viewing platform, named ‘The Walkway’, will allow members of The Residence to stand 70ft above the crowds.

Hospitality

The Residence features a range of bars including a cocktail bar, a ‘floating’ champagne bar, and a 50-seat restaurant with an open kitchen.

“We’ve seen a real shift in recent years of premium customers craving more shared spaces and immersive experiences,” said Matt Botten, senior director of premium seating at The O2. Botten added,  “It’s our biggest investment in premium seating at the venue to date, and we know that never-before-seen features like The Walkway will create unforgettable, ‘wow’ moment for members and their guests.”

Brand awareness

The 02 emphasised the new investment as an opportunity for brands looking to engage with consumers and business leaders. Venue owner AEG will be seeking a naming rights partner for the space via AEG Global Partnerships.

Nathan Kosky, vice president – Europe, AEG Global Partnerships, commented, “AEG strives to reimagine fan experiences globally – from BST Hyde Park to Coachella – but The Residence at The O2 is one of the most exciting developments anywhere in the world.”
