The NFL’s New England Patriots have added another player to its roster in the form of an autonomous robot to paint the field markings at Gillette Stadium.

Turf Tank, the world’s first field marking robot is a small unit on wheels that employs GPS to mark out the yardage lines at the venue. This video shows the unit in action, spraying half way lines and center circles as it goes.

Turf Tank is also used for soccer, helping reduce labor time when remarking the field between Patriots games and New England Revolution MLS matches.
