The Buffalo Bills has announced that Verizon will serve as the exclusive wireless telecommunications partner for the new Highmark Stadium, set to open in 2026. As part of this multi-year agreement, Verizon also joins as a Founding Partner of the state-of-the-art facility.
“Verizon coming on board as the Official 5G Network and a Founding Partner of our new stadium marks a significant milestone in our mission to deliver a next-generation experience for Bills fans,” said Pete Guelli, Executive Vice President and CEO of the Buffalo Bills. “With Verizon’s leadership in 5G technology, we’re building a stadium that will transform the way fans interact with the game and each other. Together, we’re redefining live sports with seamless, immersive connectivity.”
As the stadium’s Official 5G Network, Verizon will deploy and manage the neutral host Distributed Antenna System (DAS), providing high-speed, reliable wireless service throughout the venue. The partnership will also see Verizon Business solutions integrated across stadium operations—supporting sustainability efforts, streamlining logistics, and enhancing the overall fan journey. While construction continues, Verizon Business is currently enabling the site with temporary Wi-Fi infrastructure to support on-site development, design, and system installation.
“Bills fans are among the most passionate in football, and we’re thrilled to bring the power of Verizon 5G to their new home,” said Chris Flood, Atlantic North Market President at Verizon. “From lightning-fast connectivity to advanced stadium features, our collaboration with the Bills is focused on delivering a game-day experience that’s truly unmatched. Whether fans are watching the action live or engaging with interactive features, we’re providing the technology to make every moment unforgettable.”
The new Highmark Stadium will feature seating for 60,000 fans with the flexibility to expand for special events. It will include cutting-edge video boards, sound systems, locker rooms, team and broadcast facilities, a team store, advanced concessions, kitchens, offices, signage, sports lighting, and landscaped plazas and parking areas—all designed to create a dynamic and modern venue for fans and the community.
