DC United has announced that Audi of America will be the naming partner of the new soccer-specific stadium in Southwest Washington DC, now officially named Audi Field.
“We are thrilled to partner with such an incredible brand that is not only recognized in North America, but throughout the world,” said Jason Levien, United managing general partner. “Audi has transcended the automobile industry and fully embraced the culture of soccer, especially in MLS. We couldn’t think of a better partner to name our stadium and we look forward to forging extraordinary memories for years to come at Audi Field.”
Audi Field will be the home for DC United, the most decorated franchise in US soccer history and the most championed professional team in the District of Columbia. Opening in 2018, it will also host a variety of other sporting and cultural events, community activities, and concerts.

United plan to break ground on Audi Field in the first quarter of 2017. The state-of-the-art urban facility has a capacity of 20,000 fans and will feature 31 luxury suites, a bike valet, and 500,000ft² of mixed-use retail and residential space on-site, making it a 365-day a year destination for fans and DC residents alike.
