Twenty-five-time Grammy Award winner Jay-Z has been confirmed as the headline performer for the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, taking place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on 14 February 2027.
The announcement, made jointly by Roc Nation, the NFL and Apple Music, came during ESPN’s broadcast of the Dallas Cowboys versus Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football game. The Super Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, with mobile streaming available through NFL+.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”
The performances featured a number of high-profile guests, including Blue Ivy Carter, John Legend, DJ Khaled, Too Short, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
Attention will now turn to which artists might join Jay-Z on stage during the halftime show. Among the potential guests is his wife, Beyoncé, who previously headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show and appeared as a guest performer at Super Bowl 50.
Super Bowl LXI will mark the second time SoFi Stadium has hosted the NFL’s championship game. The venue previously staged Super Bowl LVI in 2022, when the halftime show featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
Roc Nation has overseen production of the Super Bowl Halftime Show since entering into a partnership with the NFL in 2019. During that period, headline performers have included Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Usher, Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny.
