Missouri football is celebrating Memorial Stadium’s 100th anniversary this year with the completion of a new north end zone and a wave of premium seating, finishing a decade-long project that has turned the stadium into a fully enclosed bowl for the first time in its history.
The north end zone rebuild, designed by Overland Park firm DLR Group, took two years and cost $250 million, funded through a mix of private donations and school dollars.
The completed project brings 2,280 new premium seats, pushing total capacity to 63,609, a wider range of premium seating tiers than the stadium has previously offered, from field-level clubs to open-air, semi-private “coves” and a smaller, turf version of The Hill, the grassy berm and rock “M” long associated with cheaper general-admission seating.
