Coffee experience upgraded at Wembley

Hospitality and foodservice provider, Delaware North UK, has announced an exciting new partnership at Wembley Stadium with Artisan Coffee Co.

Founded by celebrated chef Ashley Palmer-Watts, this collaboration marks a significant step forward in upgrading the coffee experience for non-matchday event delegates, setting a new benchmark for quality.

Initially available across all boardroom meetings and conference event experiences, this quality partnership elevates the coffee offer beyond traditional bulk-brew solutions.

In 2024, Delaware North hosted over 1,000 meetings and events at Wembley Stadium. On average, this equates to 120,000 cups of coffee served per year.

James Haysom, Head of Hospitality for Delaware North UK at Wembley Stadium said: “At a venue like Wembley Stadium, which welcomes thousands of delegates daily, providing a full barista-style service for all our guests was not feasible. However, through this partnership, Artisan Coffee Co. allows us to bring a range of chef-curated, meticulously blended, speciality coffees to boardroom and hospitality scenarios.

“Whether the coffee is brewed with a batch brew system, slow drip, or pod machine, the quality and flavour of Artisan Coffee Co.’s blends are consistently superior, and with coffee such a critical part of the guest experience – with breaks occurring three to four times a day – it was a no-brainer to take this partnership forward.

“When we first met Ashley and sampled the product for the first time, we were blown away. The company’s flavour-first approach to sourcing, roasting, and brewing certainly left a lasting impression on the team. This partnership reinforces our commitment to working with forward-thinking, premium suppliers and setting a new standard for stadium hospitality.”

Following feedback from conference and events delegates that identified a demand for high-quality coffee, particularly during networking sessions, the partnership with Artisan Coffee Co. will elevate the guest experience across all conferences and events.

Ashley Palmer-Watts, former Chef Director of The Fat Duck Group, including two Michelin-starred restaurant Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and co-owner of The Devonshire pub in Soho, launched Artisan Coffee Co. with a mission to make speciality coffee accessible to all.  Championing the use of blends and harmonising flavour notes to create the ultimate cup, his global travels and sophisticated palate have inspired a selection of unique coffee characters that cater to all taste and brew preferences and offer a sensory coffee experience akin to a fine wine tasting.

Founder of Artisan Coffee Co., Ashley said: “We are excited to work with Delaware North at Wembley Stadium to deliver speciality coffee to its clients and showcase what Artisan Coffee Co. has to offer.”
