Sports surface specialist SIS Pitches has announced a 44% year-on-year increase in hybrid pitch installations, fuelled by growing demand from Premier League clubs for high-performance, durable playing surfaces.
Ahead of the current season, SIS Pitches delivered stitched hybrid pitches for half of the Premier League’s clubs, helping them prepare for elite-level competition. The company’s SISGrass Hybrid system continues to see expanding adoption across Europe, the Middle East and North America, as leading clubs and venues invest in cutting-edge surface technology.
In the past six months alone, SIS Pitches has completed hybrid installations at stadiums and training facilities for Aston Villa, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, among others.
A key highlight this summer was the installation of a new SISGrass hybrid pitch at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium, complemented by the SISAir AquaCycle aeration and water management system—creating one of the most advanced playing surfaces in global football.
SIS Pitches’ influence extends beyond the top flight. Clubs across the EFL Championship, League One and League Two—including Birmingham City, Wrexham, Derby County, Wycombe Wanderers, Stevenage, Mansfield, Colchester United, Swindon Town, Notts County and Stockport County—have all benefited from SISGrass or SIS Synthetic systems. Stockport’s hybrid pitch at Edgeley Park even helped the club secure the EFL Grounds Team of the Season award for two consecutive years.
The technology is also gaining traction in the non-league game. Hednesford Town recently installed a new SISGrass Hybrid surface at Keys Park, incorporating the same advanced aeration, vacuum drainage and water recycling systems featured at Everton’s world-class Hill Dickinson Stadium.
