The opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, taking place this Friday 6th February, marks a significant moment in Games history. For the very first time, the opening event will be spread across multiple locations, including the San Siro stadium home to Inter and AC Milan, bridging the mountains and the city.
Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of the co-hosts of the XXV Olympic Winter Games, will stage a simultaneous ceremony alongside the main event at Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium. Both ceremonies are inspired by the “Armonia” theme, ideated by creative lead Marco Balich.
It will be an unprecedented evening, the result of a collaborative effort involving thousands of people and showcasing artistic, technical, and organizational expertise.
Internationally renowned artists performing include Mariah Carey, Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini, Pierfrancesco Favino, Sabrina Impacciatore, Matilda De Angelis, Ghali, Cecilia Bartoli and Lang Lang.
Access to the San Siro Olympic Stadium will be granted only with a valid digital ticket displayed on the official Milano Cortina 2026 Ticketing App.
